A Hike, sort of

A couple of Fridays ago I had a day off and we wanted to go hiking, something close and relatively easy, so I found a hike two miles up in the foothills, relatively flat along a river to some water falls. I couldn't actually find a map, but there was a description and directions to it. We went out early and found the place, or so we thought and what we thought to be a trailhead and started walking. It was along a beautiful river and it was very green. We saw a huge slug and compared it to Olivia's shoe. Lucky for us the trail was in the shade, but after a mile we came to this out of the way campground and a dead end, so we hiked back to the parking lot, didn't find another trailhead and instead just played in the river, skipping stones, collecting pretty rocks, and eating our lunch. It was a great time, but I wonder where that trail to the falls was? It was wicked hot when we left so we hit the pool to cool off!
