Ready for Christmas, almost

This is our brand new fake tree!  It is pre-lit, the needles don't fall off and no rotting pine scent as the tree starts to decay.  Love it!  I put up a few meager Christmas decorations. I'm not much of a decorator since I've always rented and hate toting around stuff.  I am hoping to get a few nice pieces to put up for the holidays now that we are staying put. I love the Willow Tree nativity scene and am hoping to add to the scene as the years go by. All the shopping was done online this year, just a couple of stocking stuffers to go.  While I have preferred staying out of traffic and crowded stores the song Silver Bells doesn't really mean much to me anymore.  It's strange.

I love your stockings!! And the Nativity is beautiful too.

Ps...In response to your post on my blog. I am kind of a nazi when it comes to sleeping. The kids are on a strict nap and bedtime schedule and I teach them from an early age that any time before 7:30am is "the middle of the night" and to go back to bed. Now they just sleep that late because its what we've always done. Its awesome. I seriously have to wake them up everyday for school, and they usually sleep past 8:30 on Saturdays.
