Migration

The chickens have migrated.  Their chicken house and run is mostly complete, except for the metal roof and egg box.  Since there won't be any rain this summer and they won't lay for at least a month and a half it isn't imperative to get them done right now.  It was quite a project and way more expensive than anticipated.  I even worked a couple of extra shifts to cover it.  But, as you can see from the pics it done!  Yay!  Adam really did a good job, despite his lack of carpentry experience.  It is nice and sturdy! The chickens seem to like it, although I can't get them to sleep in the hen house unless I put them in there after dark.  So far the kids still enjoy them and Olivia will faithfully clean out the poop and check for water and food.  We give them kitchen scraps too.  Hopefully we'll get some eggs in July.
